Shri Rajnish Kumar assumed charge as Chairman on 7th October 2017. Prior to this, he was the Managing Director (National Banking Group) from 2nd November 2015 to 6th October 2017. Prior to this, he was holding a charge as Managing Director (Compliance & Risk) of State Bank of India from 26th May, 2015. Shri Rajnish Kumar was heading SBI Capital Markets Limited (the Merchant Banking arm of State Bank of India) as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, prior to becoming Managing Director in SBI.
Shri Rajnish Kumar has been with the State Bank of India for over three decades, having joined the Bank as a Probationary Officer in 1980. An M.Sc. in Physics, apart from CAIIB, Shri Kumar has held several key assignments across various business verticals, including two overseas assignments in Canada and U.K. He has vast experience in handling large credit, project finance, foreign exchange and retail banking. Shri Kumar has held such important positions as Dy. General Manager, Pune Zone; General Manager (NW-II), Mumbai; Regional Head, SBI(UK); Chief General Manager, North East Circle and Chief General Manager, Project Finance. Shri Kumar is an avid traveller and has visited several countries. He loves sports and is a good player of badminton.
Managing Director (Risk, IT and Subsidiaries)
Shri Dinesh Kumar Khara is the Managing Director of Risk, IT and Subsidiaries of SBI. He holds a Board level position in the Bank supervising the Risk, Information Technology, and businesses of SBI’s subsidiaries. The subsidiaries are engaged in diverse financial activities such as Asset Management, Life Insurance, General Insurance, Custodial Services, Primary Dealership, Investment Banking, Broking, Credit Cards, Pension Funds and Factoring services.
Shri Dinesh Kumar Khara, did his Masters in Business Administration from FMS New Delhi and is a post-graduate in Commerce. He is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). Shri Khara joined SBI as Probationary Officer in 1984 and has over 31 years of experience in all facets of Commercial banking such as Retail Credit, SME/Corporate Credit, deposit mobilization, international banking operations, branch management, etc.
Prior to being appointed as Managing Director of State Bank of India, Shri Khara was the MD & CEO of SBI Funds Management Pvt. Limited (SBIMF).
Deputy Managing Director & Corporate Development Officer, State Bank of India
Shri Prashant Kumar joined the Bank as Probationary Officer in 1983. Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Managing Director (Chief Operating Officer) of the Bank. He was the Chief General Manager of Kolkata Circle of SBI. He has been General Manager of Mumbai Circle of the Bank. He was posted at SBI Corporate Centre, Mumbai, as Deputy General Manager (Industrial Relation) and had also worked as a Faculty in State Bank Academy, Gurgaon, with diverse experience in the fields of credit, Human Resources and training systems.
His notable assignment also includes his stint as Chairman of Purvanchal Gramin Bank, Gorakhpur and is credited for the tectonic changes in business levels and performance of the Bank
He is a Science Graduate and LLB from Delhi University.

A Post Graduate in Commerce, Shri Rekhi joined the Bank as Probationary Officer in the year 1984. Presently he is spearheading SBI Foundation, a CSR arm of SBI. Prior to his present assignment, he worked as General Manager (Social Media) & General Manager (Corporate Communication & Change Management). During his stint as General Manager (Social Media & Marketing) Bank’s social media presence got due fillip in as much as it is now the No. 1 Brand in the world among Banks using social media as per the Financial Brand’s Power 100 Ranks – Banks Q 1 2017. During his long career of 34 years in the Bank, he has held many challenging assignments, which include Banking operations, Development Sector, Corporate Communication and other assignments as below:
Dy. General Manager (PR) - Shri Rekhi was adjudged as one of the top 5 CMOs of the country for two consecutive years, 2013 and 2014 by IAA (International Advertising Association). As a career Banker, he gained experience in various facets of Banking like Large Corporate Credits, Retail Operations, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, SME Advances etc.
Asst. General Manager- LCPC, Noida- Front-led over 3500 branches cheque book maintenance and account opening functions, entailing 20% of the total branches of the bank in the country at that time with a team of 600 staff members working under one roof.

Mr. Ishaat Hussain is a former Director of Tata Sons Ltd. and was with the Group from 1981 to 2017. During this period, Mr. Hussain was the Finance Director of Tata Steel Ltd. and later, he became the Finance Director of Tata Sons Ltd. Mr. Hussain served on several Tata company Boards including Tata Steel Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. He was also the Chairman of Voltas Ltd., Tata Sky Ltd., Tata AIA Life Insurance Co. Ltd. and Tata AIG General Insurance Co. Ltd. Prior to joining the Tata Group, he worked with the ICI Group of companies in India for seven years.
Mr. Hussain is a graduate in Economics from the Delhi University and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales (ICAEW). He has also attended the Advanced Management Programme at the Havard Business School.
Mr. Hussain has served as a member of the Board of Trade of India and was the Chairman of the SEBI Committee On Disclosure & Accounting (SCODA). He is on the Advisory Board of Bain (India board) and the Murugappa Group. He also serves on several Foundations and Trusts.
Luis is Chairman of CORO and Centre for Civil Society. He is also actively involved with other non-profits including SNEHA, CARE India, Educate Girls, and Take Charge. He spends his time these days connecting the dots for amazing social entrepreneurs, using his network to help the organisations he is connected with. Luis is also Senior Advisor to Morgan Stanley Infrastructure and Advisor to the Nadathur Group. Prior to this, he was involved with setting up two highly successful companies – HDFC Bank and IDFC Private Equity. He is on Chicago Booth’s Global Advisory Board and Social Enterprise Initiative’s Advisory Board and writes a blog for Forbes India. Luis received an MBA from the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago and is a member of the nstitute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mrs. Anuradha Rao is an Officer in? the rank of Deputy Managing Director of State Bank of India (SBI) and is on deputation to SBI Funds Management Private Limited as Managing Director & CEO. Mrs. Rao started her career with SBI in 1982 as Probationary Officer. Over relationship of 33 years with SBI, she has traversed through various functions and assignments. Before being promoted as Deputy Managing Director at SBI, her last assignment was Chief General Manager, Personal Banking in SBI, Mumbai (May 2014 – August 2016), where she was responsible for handling retail portfolio of Rs. 9 Lakh crores liabilities and Rs. 1.25 Lakh crores assets.
